Church, I have really been enjoying Romans 8 on Sundays! This Sunday we are answering the question “What if?” from Romans 8:20-32. Come ready to be encouraged by God's love for you. I love, the love of God. I love that God loves me as I am, not perfect. I know that I am not perfect. I know I have faults, flaws and issues. But I also know that I am forgiven. As I repent of my sins, turn from them and turn to God I am set free from my sins. I know that this happens through the cross of Jesus who paid the penalty for my sins. This is God’s love for me who sent Jesus as my Savior. What great love! I am not perfect, just forgiven!
Consequently, I can love others for God’s love fills me. What an awesome thing. As I am full of God’s love, that perfect love covers all my sins and fills me so I can in turn forgive other's sins against me. 1 Peter 4:8 says, "Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins." That is so awesome. When I am full of God’s love everyone can tell, for I have so much love that I can love you in spite of your sins and you can love me in spite of mine. How awesome is that! It’s only when God’s love in us runs low that we can’t love other people in spite of their sins. Let’s keep our lives full of God’s love!
Speaking of love, we love our apprentices that we receive each year. They are coming again, starting February 10th. What we need is more cars! If you have a car that you would like to donate to the church we would love to receive it. You can contact Jan or Allie in the office for details (or call the church office at 559.291.9199). This would be a great gift for training our future leaders.
Church, I love making an eternal difference as together we follow Jesus. See you Sunday!
In God’s Grip and for God’s Glory,
