Church, I want to encourage you to join us this Sunday morning. At all of our services we will be continuing our series on the Book of Joel. This is such an awesome book!  As we work through the beginning of Chapter 2 we will be ending the service with an opportunity to receive prayer and a prophetic word. A prophetic word is someone listening to God on your behalf and sharing a word that comforts, strengthens, and encourages you (1 Corinthians 14:3). That word is then tested in three ways:

1. Does it line up with the Bible,
2. If it came to pass what type of fruit would it bear?
3. Is it from the flesh or the spirit (this can only be tested in community with other believers and leaders in the church).

This Sunday is going to be an awesome day in the Church. I want to encourage each of us to go into our mission field and invite friends, co-workers, neighbors, and fellow students to join us. This is the type of Sunday where people are encouraged through worship, teaching and having the questions of our heart answered: “Does God see me, know me and love me?” When God shares a personal word with us through another person we are comforted, strengthened, and encouraged. God desires that we know Him as our Savior and have our friendship with Him restored through Jesus on the cross. God created desire in our hearts to know Him as our Creator and that was made possible only through Jesus and God’s loving prophetic words to us. This is one way God points us to Jesus.

I look forward to seeing you this Sunday at one of our gatherings, 8:30, 10:00 or    11:30 a.m. at main campus and at 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. at Sunnyside campus, and at 2:00 p.m. at our Centro Cristiaño Campus.

Let’s all walk in God’s love and power this week.
In God’s Grip and for God’s Glory,
Fred
